About Cask Marque

The Cask Marque Trust is a non-profit organization championing quality cask ale.

The scheme was introduced to meet customer demands for cask ale that is refreshing and of a consistent quality. It is awarded to the licensee, not the pub and is backed up by two unannounced assessments every year.

Further, it has been independently shown that pubs with Cask Marque accreditation are more successful and close at around half the rate of pubs in general.
