2nd East Kent Railway Beer Festival 2010

This is East Kent Railway's second beer festival and runs from Saturday, 28th August to Monday, 30th August.

EKR have teamed up with Gadds' Brewery and Tiddly Pomme of Brogdale Trust, Faversham, to bring you beers from Gadds, Dark Star and Potbelly along with eight Kentish ciders and two perrys. These will be served in a beer marquee and a separate cider tent.

Opening Times

The festival will be open from 12 midday to 8pm on Saturday and 12 midday to 6pm on Sunday and Monday.

Getting There

The festival will be held at EKR's Eythorne station.

There are regular train services from EKR's Shepherdwell Station, which is situated next to Shepherdswell mainline station which has free parking. The heritage train journey takes a 2 mile journey through the Kent countryside to Eythorne, passing through Golgotha Tunnel. Trains leave Shepherdswell at 11.45, 13.00, 14.15, 15.30, 16.45 and 17.45. The last train leaves Eythorne at 20.00.

Tickets and Prices

Tickets have been held at 2009 prices: £7 for Adults, £6 for Seniors, £4 for Children. There is also a £17 family ticket for two adults and two children. Prices include all-day train travel and one free pint of beer per Adult, Senior and Family ticket.

CAMRA members: On production of a current membership card CAMRA members will benefit from a reduced ticket price of £5.

Facilities

Background music will be country and western and there is a BBQ tent to keep you nourished. Soft drinks will be available from the tea bar at Eythorne Station.

Disabled/abled toilets are situated at Eythorne station. Full disabled access on trains and at Eythorne Station.
